American Truck Driving School is a family-run company that prides itself on providing excellent training and support for students pursuing a CDL. Whether you’d like to drive a dry van, tanker, refrigerated freight, flatbed, or LTL freight, our instructors will teach you everything you need to know — from proper turn radius and parking, to stop time and safety.

Our reputation has helped expand and grow the school to locations in Riverside, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange County. Our main office in Riverside County is open six days a week to meet the needs of students with busy schedules.
Prioritize safety
To obtain a CDL and gain employment, a truck driver must follow federal and state safety regulations. This includes proper signaling, sleep and rest requirements, pre-trip inspections, blind spots, and turning. Each student receives one-on-one teaching to ensure they’re well-prepared for their exam.
Flexible scheduling
Many of our students have families, busy schedules, jobs, and other responsibilities they need to juggle. That’s why we make it easy to schedule lessons with our instructors. Each lesson is two hours long and students can schedule a lesson for a time that is convenient for them.
Customized training
Each course is customized according to the student’s goal. Whether they’re pursuing a Class A or Class B license, or a special endorsement, our instructors stay up to date on the latest requirements for each type of license so that we can properly train each student.
Industry Equipment
We prepare students for the real world by training them how to drive equipment used in the industry. Our locations are equipped with international trucks, passenger vehicles, and other commercial vehicles to teach students how to safely operate. Our instructors can also train drivers how to use stick-shift. Each vehicle is rigorously maintained and we have a 1.5 acre lot available for student driving.

Online Portal
Through our online portal, students can take courses to learn at their own pace. We cover basic information that every truck driver needs to know before they begin behind-the-wheel training.
