    2. Apple chips

Apple and cinnamon are staple fall ingredients that will get you feeling nostalgic as you’re driving cross country. All you need is two medium-sized Gala apples and ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon.

Preheat the oven to 225°F and cover two baking sheets with parchment paper. Then, wash and dry the apples and use a mandolin to create 1/16-inch thick rings. Cut out the core and toss the apple rings into a bowl with cinnamon until evenly coated. Spread the rings on a baking sheet and don’t allow any of them to overlap. Bake for two hours, but be sure to flip the rings halfway through baking.

    4. No-bake granola bars

Skip baking and create granola bars that taste just as good. You’ll need one cup of Rice Krispies cereal, ¾ cup uncooked old-fashioned regular rolled oats, one cup creamy almond butter, ¼ cup pure maple syrup, ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon kosher salt.

Begin by lining an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper and combine cereal and oats in a large bowl. Then, place maple syrup, cinnamon, salt, and almond butter in a small saucepan and heat over medium. Pour the mixture over the cereal and oats and gently mix until thoroughly combined. Spread the mixture into a pan and press down firmly. Chill until the granola is fully set and cut into 12 bars.
