    It’s always exciting to a start a new job or career, and that’s especially true for those entering the truck driving field. This industry is fun, exhilarating and constantly changing. At America Truck Driving School, we’ve been instructing future truck drivers for 17 years. Throughout our time in the industry, we’ve collected a few tips along the way that we like to share with our new truck drivers.     1. Connecting to the Truck Driving Community
    Some might think that truck driving is a lonely profession, but it’s actually quite the opposite. Truck stops are a great place to make new friends and become part of a great community of people, as they are usually filled other truck drivers who understand the life of a truck driver. Plus, as you start driving more frequently, you will begin to notice the same people on your routes, which makes those long treks quite enjoyable.

    2. Getting Paid for Adventure
    Who doesn’t love getting paid to travel the country? As a new driver, you will enjoy the adventure of finding new places and seeing different parts of the country. Savor the experience!

    3. Keeping a Social Connection
    Being away from friends and family for an extended period of time can be difficult for some. That’s why it’s a good idea to try and talk with your loved ones via video chats or phone calls on a routine basis.

    Truck driving is a great career, with lots of fantastic rewards attached to the job. You’ll get the opportunity to see the world and meet some wonderful people along the way. Once you settle into your new position, you’ll find out just how much you love being a truck driver!
